Similar to IPAs, this traditional Imperial Stout was brewed with a high alcohol content and high hop rate to endure long sea voyages. Drink with caution or with good friends. Our ingredients for this recipe include 6 lb. Dark liquid malt extract, 6 lb. Amber liquid malt extract, 8 oz. Chocolate Malt, 4 oz. Caramel 120L, 8 oz. Roasted Barley specialty grains, 2 oz. Northern Brewer, 1 oz. Willamette pellet hops, yeast, priming sugar and a grain bag. Note: Due to the amount of fermentable sugars it is strongly recommended to leave in secondary fermenter for 9-12 months to allow flavors to properly blend. see details
