The Anaheim Scientific H240 four-channel digital thermometer with data logging feature and K-type thermocouple probes is for use in applications requiring a broad range of temperature measurements, including manufacturing, agricultural, laboratory, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning applications. The thermometer accepts thermocouple K-type probes, which have a broader temperature measurement range than a thermistor sensor but provide lower accuracy, J-type probes, which have a narrower temperature measurement range than a K-type probe but provide higher accuracy, and platinum resistor probes (Pt 100 ohm), which provide more accurate and stable readings than a thermocouple probe but have a narrower temperature measurement range and slower response time. When using a K-type thermocouple, it measures temperature from -199 to 1370 degrees C (-199 to 2498 degrees F). When using a J-type thermocouple, it measures temperature from -199 to 1210 degrees C (-199 to 2210 degrees F). With K- and J-type thermocouples, it has an accuracy of + or - 0.5% of the reading plus 1 degree C (1.8 degrees F). When using a platinum resistor probe, it measure temperature from -199 to 850 degrees C (-199 to 1000 degrees F) with an accuracy of + or - 0.4% of the reading plus 1.2 degrees C (2 degrees F). This four-channel thermometer has four inputs for connecting temperature probes (four K-type thermocouples are included), allowing the operator to measure the temperature of up to four samples at one time. The LCD screen can display the current temperature measurement for an input channel, the highest or lowest temperature reading for a session, and the difference between two channels. The data logging feature allows the operator to manually or automatically record readings for future recall. An RS-232 port on the thermometer allows data to be transferred to a computer for further analysis (cable not included). The operator can choose to display readings in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius. The hold function keeps a measurement on the display so it can be recorded. The thermometer operates on six AAA batteries (included), and the thermometer will automatically turn off after 10 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life. A low-battery indicator alerts the operator when the batteries need to be replaced. Four K-type probes are included with the thermometer. A hard plastic carrying case helps protect the thermometer and accessories during transport and storage.
