These Hanna Instruments waterproof pH meters have a smart electrode for storing calibration data, log-on-demand, automatic calibration, Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC), battery error prevention system (BEPS) alerts, and are waterproof. A pH meter is commonly used to measure the pH of substance such as water, food, beer, or wine in lab, industrial, and food applications. The large backlit LCD screen has on-screen tutorials and an adjustable "calibration time out". ATC provides accurate readings in fluctuating temperatures. Automatic calibration is available with custom buffers and seven memorized buffers: 1.68, 4.01, 6.86, 7.01, 9.18, 10.01, and 12.45. The BEPS alerts when low battery power could produce erroneous readings, and an adjustable auto-off function prolongs battery life. The log-on-demand feature can keep track of up to 500 samples and a USB connection allows the meters to be connected to a PC to download data. These meters include a polyetherimide (PEI) body, pre-amplified pH electrode, which has an internal temperature sensor, Deutsches Institut fr Normung (DIN) connector, and a 1 m (3.3) cable for reaching test sites.
