Product Description
The Wahl DHS125XEL infrared thermometer with K-type thermocouple input and built-in laser pointer is for measuring temperature in industrial applications such as electrical testing, automotive maintenance, food industry, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system repair. The infrared sensor measures temperature from -32 to 760 degrees C (-25 to 1400 degrees F) with a best accuracy of + or - 2 degrees C (3 degrees F). The infrared sensor takes measurements from a distance for applications involving hard-to-reach, moving, hot, or electrified equipment. The thermometer has an input for a K-type thermocouple probe (not included) for taking contact surface temperature measurements. The infrared sensor has a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio, which means the measurement field measures approximately 12 feet in diameter when the target is 1 foot away. It also has an adjustable emissivity setting to help improve measurement accuracy on a range of surface types. A built-in laser pointer helps improve aiming accuracy when taking infrared measurements. The LCD screen can display the current temperature, the highest or lowest temperature reading for the session, and the average temperature for the session, or the difference between the current temperature and a pre-set reference temperature. The thermometer's internal memory can store 10 sets of data for future recall. The hold function keeps a measurement on the display so it can be recorded. The screen changes color when the temperature surpasses high or low limits set by the operator. The display is backlit for readability in low light. The operator can choose to display readings in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius. When taking infrared measurements while using a K-type thermocouple probe as a reference, the thermometer can automatically detect the proper emissivity setting for taking measurements on a target object. The thermometer has a trigger lock for taking extended measurements. A tripod mount allows the thermometer to be attached to a tripod (not included) for hands free use. The thermometer operates on one 9V battery (included), and it automatically shuts off after six seconds of non-use to conserve battery life. A carrying case is included for transporting and storing the thermometer.
