The Hanna Instruments HI 3214P is an oxygen reduction potential (ORP)/mV electrode with a double cloth junction, a polyetherimide (PEI) body, platinum pin, Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connector, 2m (6.6') coaxial cable, and operates in pressurized systems with the HI 981406 and HI 982401 ORP indicators. An ORP electrode is used to measure the oxidization or reduction capacity of a solution, and to monitor chemical reactions and ion activity. It is commonly used for water testing, pulp bleaching, and for biological sample analysis in swimming pools, cooling towers, wastewater treatment, and industrial applications. The cloth junction of this electrode reduces contamination. The PEI body with platinum pin is for use in moderately aggressive liquids, such as in wastewater, and for applications requiring stress resistance. The electrode operates in pressurized systems up to 43.5 psi (3 bar) with the HI 981406 and HI 982401 ORP indicators. A BNC connector provides tight cable connections. The electrode comes with a 2m (6.6') coaxial cable.
