The Hanna Instruments HI 5315 is a reference electrode for ion selective electrode (ISE) half-cell electrodes with a double silver-silver chloride junction, polyetherimide (PEI) body, O-ring seal between sensor handle and cap, banana plug, 1m (3.3') coaxial cable, and is refillable. A reference electrode provides the electrolytic contact necessary to measure a voltage gradient across a measurement membrane, such as an ISE. Ion selective electrodes respond selectively to ions in the presence of other ions, and are commonly used for water testing, and to analyze biological samples in hydroponics, aquaculture, and agriculture. The double silver-silver chloride junction reduces sample solution ingress into the reference compartment for long electrode life in harsh environments. The 120mm high PEI body has an outside diameter of 12mm for use in moderately aggressive liquids, such as in wastewater, and for applications requiring stress resistance. The O-ring seal between sensor handle and cap provides protection against substances, and the electrode is refillable external reference to prolong electrode life. A banana plug provides tight cable connections. The electrode comes with 1m (3.3') coaxial cable.
