It features environmentally safe non-toxic, non-hazardous, biodegradable Enviro-Safe liquid EnviroKleen certified by ChemTel, an independent laboratory, and has the same accuracy as similar mercury-filled thermometers, but unlike mercury-filled thermometers these are 100% environmentally safe. The Enviro-Safe liquid is dyed black against yellow back glass offering the highest contrast combination for ease of readability and prevention of reading errors. Each thermometer is tested and calibrated in our exclusive triple accredited/registered ISO/IEC 17025:2005, A2LA accredited laboratory against equipment whose calibration is traceable to NIST and DKD/PTB.
