The Hanna Instruments HI 2930B/5 is an oxygen reduction potential (ORP)/mV electrode with a cloth junction, platinum pin, a polyetherimide (PEI) body, an internal amplifier, a 5m (16.4') cable, a Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connector, and operates in pressurized systems. An ORP electrode is used to measure the oxidization or reduction capacity of a solution, and to monitor chemical reactions and ion activity. It is commonly used for water testing, pulp bleaching, and for biological sample analysis in swimming pools, cooling towers, wastewater treatment, and industrial applications. The PEI body of this electrode provides protection against moderately aggressive liquids, such as wastewater, and is used for applications requiring stress resistance. The cloth junction reduces contamination and the electrode has a platinum pin to measure conductivity. An internal amplifier provides a strong low impedance signal up to 75 meters (246') from the electrode to the metering system. The amplifier circuitry is located on top of the electrode and is completely sealed and the electrode has an internal battery. The electrode operates in pressurized systems up to 43.5 psi (3 bar). A BNC connector provides tight cable connections. The electrode comes with 5m (16.4') cable.
