Product Description

The Hanna Instruments Calibration pH Meters have up to five-point calibration with seven memorized buffers, a Calibration Check feature, manual or Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC), LCD screen, and are PC-compatible via USB port. A pH meter is commonly used to measure the pH of substance such as water, food, beer, or wine in lab, industrial, and food applications. These meters are pH, oxidation reduction potential (ORP), and temperature benchtop meters featuring calibration check diagnostics for pH electrodes and buffer solutions during calibration. The LCD screen displays if the device is properly calibrated, and provides a calibration range alert when a reading appears too far from the calibration periphery. The meter features five-point calibration with seven memorized buffers (1.68, 4.01, 6.86, 7.01, 9.18, 10.01, and 12.45), Manual or ATC and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) capabilities that allow storage and retrieval of all pH-related data. It has a logging capability of up to 100 points. A built-in logging function stores measurements in non-volatile memory and can be transferred to a PC through a USB port.

A pH meter, also called a sensor or tester, is a device used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. A pH meter has either a portable or a benchtop body. Many portable meters are handheld devices. Some testers have an internal sensor, and may have a tip and body that fit inside of a container for measurement. A meter is commonly used in many different environments, from laboratories to field research and manufacturing facilities. Researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists use a pH meter in aquaculture, agriculture, wine-making, and water-testing, and for scientific applications. Some pH meters may measure additional parameters such as dissolved oxygen (DO), conductivity (also called electro-conductivity or EC), temperature, total dissolved solids (TDS), salinity, resistivity, or oxygen reduction potential.

Hanna Instruments manufactures analytical instrumentation and supplies, including pH meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions. The company, founded in 1978 and headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001.
