Dual magnet mount surface thermometers specifically designed to be used on horizontal or ferrous non-horizontal surfaces. Features two alnico magnets that act as the thermometers base and hold it in place on ferrous surfaces. Bimetallic sensor is a specially processed alloy that is preconditioned and pretested for permanent calibration and maximum stability. Sensor is located in a draft shield and is in virtual thermal contact with the surface to be measured which means a relatively quick response time. Reaches sensing equilibrium (stability) within three minutes. Designed for applications such as: hot plates; griddles; die-cast dies; foundry core boxes; annealing ovens; weld preheats; motors; generators; engines; bearings; boilers, tanks, and drums.
